Community Children’s Nurse Band 6 – 2 posts substantive full time
1 post fixed term for 1 year maternity leave cover
An opportunity has arisen for motivated Children’s nurses to join our Community Children’s nurse team. Joining the team you will be based within the Child Health department at the Royal Free Hospital and be involved in assessing and providing care at home or in the community for children with nursing needs. The team covers the Borough of Camden and South of the borough of Barnet. We have very close links with the University College of London Hospital trust as we also receive referrals from them.
We have a busy and diverse caseload of children and young people with acute and chronic health needs, including complex care and palliative care. We have robust links with both hospital and the community multidisciplinary health services and with education and social care.
The successful candidates would be able to work well in a team but also autonomously and would be supported by the band 7 team leader. As a team we are committed to delivering high quality care and are looking to recruit staff who are able to demonstrate the same enthusiasm to help us develop our service further. Car driver/owner desirable but not essential. Pool car available. We fully support staff in development and training.
