The Children's Emergency Department at the Queen's Medical Centre Nottingham is seeking a highly committed, innovative and progressive Staff Nurse, to join the Nursing team. All the nursing staff within this department are paediatric trained and APLS qualified. There are also two dedicated paediatric consultants responsible for the area as well as a Consultant lead.
We currently see approximately 35,000 children a year and have strong links with the Nottingham Children's Hospital which is also located at the Queen's Medical Centre.
Currently there is an exciting, ongoing change process in place which is developing new more effective ways of working. The department strategy identifies a commitment to becoming the regional Trauma Centre, to gain national recognition as an academic centre of excellence and the development of an integrated assessment unit.
This is therefore an exciting and rare opportunity to support and play a pivotal role in the achievement of these objectives and the realisation of the Nottingham University Hospitals' vision of being the best Trust in the country.
The successful applicant will benefit from a structured development plan and the opportunity to work with a dedicated and and highly skilled team at a crucial and exciting time in our development as a department.
